Utopia Bagels from New York City has committed to a 15-year lease for its inaugural Manhattan venture, set to open this spring. Spanning 3,700 square feet, the location at 120 East 34th St. in Murray Hill boasts a glass storefront offering customers a glimpse into the bagel-making process.
Previously occupied by the fast-casual cafe Guy & Gallard for two decades, this strategic spot for the bagel shop is highlighted by the absence of competitors in the area, bustling foot traffic, excellent exposure, and a harmonious mix of densely populated residential and office areas in proximity to schools and hospitals, as stated by the company.
Anticipated to employ around 30 individuals, this new establishment aims to fill a bagel void in the neighborhood while capitalizing on its prime location.
