Backed by supporters and alumni of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York, funding has been secured for a substantial $145 million overhaul of the Army Black Knights’ football stadium.
Michie Stadium, with a seating capacity of 38,000, has been a landmark on the West Point campus since its opening in 1924. As part of the project, the 1962-built eastern stands are slated for demolition and reconstruction. The redesign of the new stadium is crafted by the architecture firm EwingCole.
