$3.3 Billion in Federal Grants is Accelerating the Initiation of Numerous Projects

Federal officials have disclosed the distribution of the remaining grants for transportation and commercial developments in cities such as Boston, Chicago, and New York.
 
The U.S. Department of Transportation has allocated $3.3 billion across 132 areas spanning 41 states and Washington, D.C., in accordance with the bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act.
 
While certain projects were previously announced by elected officials in California, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, federal authorities confirmed these awards on Wednesday and unveiled additional projects. Primarily earmarked for enhancing roads, bridges, transit, and pedestrian/bicycle infrastructure, a significant portion of the grants will also support projects aimed at capping interstate highways. Cities like Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Portland, Oregon, stand to benefit from these highway caps, creating new opportunities for commercial development.
