Evan leads WCRE’s commercial financing and loan advisory services group, working alongside WCRE’s brokerage team to provide financing expertise throughout commercial real estate transactions. His role provides an additional resource for owners, investors, developers, and businesses pursuing acquisitions, refinancing, development projects, and other real estate opportunities.

Evan Segal began his commercial lending career at American Business Credit and went on to hold Vice President of Commercial Lending positions with PNC Bank, GE Capital, Wells Fargo, and Citizens Bank. In 2014, he founded Segal Financial, a boutique commercial finance advisory firm serving businesses, investors, and real estate owners throughout Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.

With more than 30 years of commercial lending and capital markets experience, Evan brings a deep understanding of how lenders evaluate transactions and what it takes to successfully structure and execute a financing. His ability to quickly assess a transaction, identify potential challenges, and provide practical guidance helps clients make informed decisions and confidently pursue their real estate goals.

Evan’s extensive lending background and relationship-driven approach strengthen WCRE’s ability to advise clients beyond real estate itself. By integrating commercial finance expertise into WCRE’s existing services, clients benefit from an additional level of insight and guidance throughout the transaction process. For more than 12 years, Evan Segal was the founder and owner-operator of Segal Financial LLC, a boutique commercial finance advisory firm serving businesses, investors, and real estate owners throughout Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.

Evan built Segal Financial around a simple philosophy: financing is personal, and clients deserve an advisor who is accessible, responsive, experienced, and committed to their individual goals. As a hands-on owner-operator, Evan worked directly with his clients from the initial conversation through closing, taking the time to understand their needs and help them navigate what can often be a complicated financing process. His approach earned the trust of business owners, real estate investors, attorneys, accountants, real estate professionals, investment advisors, and others throughout the region seeking financing for themselves or their clients.

A local professional with deep roots in the Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey community, Evan developed extensive relationships with lenders across the commercial banking and private lending markets. Those relationships allowed him to match borrowers with appropriate financing sources, provide accurate quotes, and—just as importantly—set realistic expectations about what could be accomplished.

Evan founded Segal Financial after a career in commercial banking because he wanted to help a broader range of borrowers, not just those who fit neatly into a bank’s traditional lending criteria. Through both strong economic cycles and more challenging lending environments, clients and professional referral partners turned to Evan when they needed honest advice about where to go for their next loan, particularly when the financing was important enough that choosing the wrong lender could have significant consequences.

Evan is a board member of HFL, a non-profit lender who makes interest-free loans to individuals and businesses in the greater Philadelphia and Southern NJ region.
